African universities can join the ESEFA programme and integrate the Enterprise Systems (ES) curriculum content into their business and technical study programmes. The modular curriculum design helps universities to adapt courses and learning material to meet their course requirements. Train-the-Lecturer courses with an associated ES Fundamentals qualification by SAP University Alliances assists lecturers in gaining the requisite enterprise systems and curriculum alignment knowledge required to teach enterprise systems in curricula.
Partner universities
In order to join the ESEFA Programme a university needs to
- Become a member of the SAP University Alliances programme.
- Sign a contract with the SAP Academic Competence Centre (ACC) at UCT's ESEFA Centre: esefa.support@uct.ac.za
After becoming a SAP UA member academics can:
- Get access to the SAP Learning Hub which contains GBI + other additional curricula.
- Get access to the relevant SAP ERP system with the GBI & ESEFA datasets that can be used for workshops, class projects and other practical exercises.
- Attend ESEFA and other train-the-trainer courses.
- Incorporate the ESEFA & other curricula into university study programmes.
ESEFA ES Fundamentals qualified lecturers:
- Get access to the ESEFA portal – a repository for ESEFA curriculum content including the case study video, lecture slides, workshops, lecturer notes and other resources.
- Can run ES Fundamentals short courses for students registered at any tertiary education institution.
- Can schedule ES Fundamentals exams.
Contract options:
In addition to paying an annual fee to access the SAP ERP system, universities that give students the opportunity to sit the ESEFA exam will be required to pay:
- An exam event setup admin fee
- An exam enrolment fee per student
